Fourteen female students of Savior Senior Secondary School in Lira municipality have been suspended for bullying beneficiaries of the Universal Secondary Education program.
Savior Senior Secondary School is one of the private schools in Lira that is partnering with Government in implementing Universal Secondary Education (USE).
Johnson Adupa, the headmaster of the school, says the 14 senior two students raided a senior one class today beating up the students and forcing them out of their classroom. He says the behavior of the students is surprising and alarming and that they were sent home before further violence could break out.
Some of the students who spoke to Uganda Radio Network said they were angry about the lack of space at the school. They said the admission of more than 200 senior one students
