Head of Political Intelligence to Punish iKibokoi Squads

Politics
The head of political intelligence in the President's office, Charles Rwamushana, has vowed to take stern action against the Kiboko Squads.
The Kiboko squad comprising mainly of young stick welding youths first stormed Kampala streets, in April shortly after the police engaged in running battles with opposition politicians, who were demonstrating against the arrest of their colleagues over the anti-Mabira riots.
Presiding over the swearing in ceremony of the Pallisa LC5 Chairman-elect, Issa Taligola, at Paliisa district headquarters, Rwomushana said he is concerned that some people camouflaging as government operatives take advantage of the political differences to beat up innocent people.
Rwomushana said that unruly behavior is unacceptable and that the perpetrators will be punished.
