The national team- The Cranes have won the much anticipated match against Nigeria by 2-1, in front of a record 40,000 fans at Mandela National Stadium.
Both scores coming through penalties won by Egyptian based international Geoffrey Massa, set Uganda a piece apart.
The first penalty converted by Obua in the first 20 minutes of the second half put Uganda level at one goal each. David Obua the South African based international took the penalty after a bold decision by Egyptian main referee, following a push against Geoffrey Massa in the penalty box.
An inspired Massa made another burst on the low left flank, on beating the Nigerian defence line and only to be fauled, by Nigerian custodian.
This was the second penalty for Uganda and surely celebrations for it started long before a confident and skilled Ssekajja clinically holed it home.
Cranes victory today definitely affirms the national team's ability to enter the African cup of nations due next year in Ghana.
In the first leg encounter in Abeokuta in March, Uganda's efforts to secure a point was reversed by an outlandish decision from Senegalese referee Badarra Diatta.
