The Uganda Police force has finally repaired its only helicopter ahead of the Common Wealth Summit meeting.
The chopper was last used during the mass-polio immunization campaign in 1997-98.
Police spokesman Assan Kasingye says the force has trained over 500 policemen for CHOGM related duties.
The training started when Uganda was named the CHOGM host.Police teams have been to London, Malta, South Africa and other countries that have hosted the meeting before.
The road from Munyonyo up to Entebbe has also been segmented. All settlements, roads, schools, unfinished buildings and hospitals have been marked and stored in a data bank to help police deployment.
The road from Entebbe to Kampala will have over 100 policemen.
