Mukono Councilor Ordered to Refund Ushs 2.8m

News
Kalungi Ali Kibirige, the Mukono district councilor, has been ordered to refund 2.8 million shillings he received in advance allowances.

The order stems from the district internal auditors report which implicates Kibirige in wrong doing.

The auditors report shows that while working as district secretary for works and technical services, the Kimenyedde sub county councilor, received 2.8 million shillings in salary advances. He was however retired before all the advances were cleared.

The internal auditor, Albert Abong, has directed the district cashier and the Chief Administrative Officer, to ensure that the money is recovered.
