The Catholic Workers Movement in German has donated 550 million shillings, in support of the education programs in Lyantonde district.
The money channeled through the Masaka Diocese Education Department, is meant for the construction of classrooms and the purchase of water tanks.
The Masaka Diocese Bishop, John Baptist Kaggwa, says the money will be used to build classrooms in five schools in Lyantonde District.
Bishop Kaggwa says that the District expects more funding to support the construction of a dispensary at each of the five primary schools in the District.
Kaggwa is optimistic that the donation will help boost academic performance in the schools.
Meanwhile, Masaka Catholic diocese has launched an investigation into the cause of poor performance in church founded schools.
