Thugs Shoot Farmer along Uganda

A farmer in Nebbi has been killed by armed thugs in Etori village along the Uganda-DRC border.

Isaac Adriko was killed by suspected thugs who stormed the village this morning.

Oblivious of the fact that the thugs were armed, Adriko and his colleagues decided to chase the thugs. The thugs however shot back killing Adriko on spot.

The District Police Commander, Julius Salube, says the thugs were forced to shoot back after the villagers made an alarm.

Salube says one of the suspected thugs was lynched this afternoon in a neighboring by the locals on Pajulu County.

Salube says there has been a spate of armed robberies in the area and the police have stepped up surveillance to stem more problems:
