Police Constable Arrested for Posing As Revenue Collector

A Special Police Constable in Gulu has been arrested and detained for allegedly posing as a revenue collector.

Jimmy Akena was arrested after a local authority at Layibi division council where he was plying his illegal trade tipped the central police station.

The criminal investigations officer, Richard Ochieng, says that Akena has been illegally collecting money from traders in the town.

Ochieng says that Akena will remain in custody pending an investigation into his actions.
