UPDF Attacks LRA Base in Sudan

The Uganda People's Defense Forces have carried out an attack on a Lord's Resistance Army base in Southern Sudan, recovering stockpiles of stolen food.



The northern Uganda army spokesperson, Lt. Chris Magezi, says the onslaught on the rebels took place in Kit Valley and Panyikwara in Southern Sudan.

Government forces also recovered a G-2 machine gun and eleven goats that were being reared by the rebels.



Lt. Magezi said the UPDF still maintains a presence in Southern Sudan in an attempt to completely eliminate the LRA rebels.
