Kajara County Residents Haunted by ADF Arrest

News
Residents of Nyamununka village in Kajara County Ntungamo district are living in constant fear following the arrest of some residents charged with terrorism.

Yusuf Serwanga, a farmer in Kajara says that several revealed that several people have been arrested and charged with terrorism and remanded to different prisons.

Hajji Serwanga has been Kampala to trace for his daughter Hanifa Nalukwago who was arrested by the Joint Anti-Terrorism Task force in mid October. He says that several of those arrested are linked to the ADF rebel activities.

Hajji Serwanga said he has been forced to file a complaint with the Uganda Human Rights Commission protesting the arrest of her daughter.

Recently, the Army spokesperson, Felix Kulayigye, admitted that the army is holding Nalukwago.

In a related development, the army has re-arrested Zalika Navubya, a resident of Kabingo village in Isingiro district. The 60-year-old Navubya was arrested in 1999 and charged with terrorism. She spent seven years on remand before she was charged.
