New Political Pressure Group Formed in Eastern Uganda

Politics
A new political pressure group has been formed in eastern Uganda, to stir up the campaign for equitable distribution of natural resources.
The Uganda National Association for Equal Development (UNAED), is a political pressure group headed by Veteran Political Scientist, Prof Dan Nabudere and former Uganda's ambassador to Canada Wilson Wamimbi.
Poly Mugoya the group's Spokesperson, says the party stems from concerns that eastern Uganda has for long been marginalized by the National Resistance Movement (NRM), party.
Mugoya claims that the high levels of poverty and unemployment in Busoga is a result of government's failure to rejuvenate the Jinja industrial complex.

Mugoya says the pressure group will soon launch an aggressive grassroots mobilization campaign to sensitize the people about the significance of the party.
But Mike Mukula the NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda doubts the impact of the political pressure group. Mukula claims the group is comprised of political failures who cannot win village local council elections.
