Fake iReverendi Arrested for Extortion

Police in Iganga have arrested a man who has been extorting money from Christians under the guise offering priestly services.

Paul Masse, alias Steven Odi from Bukeddi diocese was arrested in Igamba church while trying to extort money from reverend Steven Nsereko.

Masse was found dressed in a priestly Grab and robs. He was also found with a bible and a draft time table for his church visits in Busoga region.

His luck ran out after reverend Nsereko tipped Reverend Paul Wejjuli, who in turn alerted police leading to his arrest.

On Interrogation, Masse admitted that he had extorted money from several people.

He is being detained at Iganga Police station pending an investigation into his case.
