Police in Rukungiri, have arrested a 45-year-old man for attempted Murder.
Keresi Niwagaba of Nyakiju village in Buyanja Sub County attacked Erison Akandwanaho, and chopped his body using a panga.
Henry Mbabazi, the criminal investigations officer says Akandwanaho was waylaid on Tuesday night on his way from the Katetero trading center. He has been admitted to Kisizi hospital in critical condition.
The suspect then rushed and reported himself to David Rutoroke, the LC 1 chairperson. Rutoroke immediately arrested him and handed him over to Rukungiri central police station.
The victim was today morning admitted at Kisizi hospital in a critical situation.
