A driver was yesterday morning found dead and tied to a tree in Opaka forest, Bobbi sub-county in Gulu district.
The deceased has been identified as Martin Odida, a special hire driver at Gulu Bus Park.
Odida was reportedly received a phone call from an anonymous caller on December 31st. the caller told him that there was a lucrative deal on offer for him and should be prepared to be picked up for the deal.
Oblivious of the callers intentions, the excited Odida told his colleagues at the bus park that he was going for a deal worth more than 60,000 shillings. He was picked shortly by unknown men and was never seen again.
His body was discovered yesterday in the forest, and taken to Gulu hospital for a post mortem.
Johnson Kilama, the Gulu Police Liaison officer says police are investigating the circumstances the gruesome murder.
