Kagadi Woman Arrested with 250Kg of Opium

Police in Kagadi have arrested a 250-year-old woman with more than 250 Kilo grammes of Opium.

Kihika Jonathan Adyeeri, the Kibaale district Police Liaison Officer, has identified the suspect as Sylvia Nakiyingi, a resident of Namiryango LC1 in Kagadi Town.

Kihika says that Nakiyingi was found with 250Kg of opium. The opium was stuffed in her Hand bag and in her bedroom. He says that Nakiyingi has for a long time been engaged in illicit drug deals with a gang of drug dealers in Kagadi town.

Kihika says that Nakiyingi will be produced before court soon to answer charges of illicit drug dealing.
Kihika says that his office has received reports that some farmers in Kagadi are planting the opium and marijuana in plantations.
