Poor Performance in Sciences Spur Worries in UNEB

High failure rates in science related subjects, are again the most striking feature of the 2007 O' level examinations results released this morning.
According to the results, the failure rate in Physics stood at 58.1 percent while 68.8 percent of the candidates who sat for the exams failed chemistry. Biology was equally poorly performed.
The results, released by the Uganda National examinations board- UNEB, raise a warning flag for a country that has staked its future on the life sciences. Biology, physics and chemistry are compulsory subjects in
