Adjumani Grenade Explosion Kills One, Injures Three

News
One boy has been killed and three others injured in a grenade explosion in Adjumani district.
The dead boy has been identified as Khemis Faidha, a primary three pupil at Homing Dove primary school.
The grenade explosion in Adjumani Town Council's Central Ward exploded last evening as the children played with the object they picked while walking home from school.
Charles Sebulibiba, the District Police Commander, says the children picked the grenade, under a tree near the school compound.
The DPC however says that the police are investigating the circumstances under which the grenade was hidden under a eucalyptus tree, close to the school's compound.
Phillip Akuku, the district's Assistant Education Officer, however does not rule out the possibility that the grenade could have been left behind by soldiers who were deployed to provide security during the LRA insurgency.
The injured were rushed to Adjumani district hospital in critical condition.
