Seven people drowned after their boat capsized on Lake Victoria, yesterday.
The incident occurred at Kigungu, a few Kilometers to Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe.
Peter Magezi, the criminal investigations officer, explains that the boat from Buwunge landing site in Bufumira Sub County in Kalangala was heading to Entebbe.
Magezi attributed the accident to over loading. He said that motor boat was over loaded with smoked fish.
One of the victims on the ill fated boat has been identified as
George Munyanziiza, a pastor in Buwunge. His body was recovered shortly after the accident.
The other bodies have not yet been recovered. Magezi says that the recovery process could be delayed by the interference from tidal waves.
