An American Pastor has gone missing in Lira town.
Pastor Russ Daniels, of Baptist Church in Entebbe, was part of a group of four members of the Baptist Mission church who traveled to Lira over the weekend for a business visit.
While in Lira, Pastor Daniel preached at a Sunday service at the Baptist church in Lira.
Later in the day, the pastor convened a meeting intended to attract market for the of the Golden Neolife products.
Preliminary investigations show that after the meeting, Pastor Daniels, headed to Gillian Guest House near Lira Catholic Cathedral where he spent a night.
He checked out of the hotel at 5:45 am this morning saying that he was heading to the bus park where he agreed to meet his group members including his daughter, Elizabeth Daniels, so they could head off to Kampala.
But the pastor never made it to the bus park. After waiting in vain, her daughter was forced to alert the police.
Bonny Okello, a receptionist at Gillian Guest House, has confirmed that the pastor checked out of the hotel this morning and headed to the bus park.

Sylvia Daniels, the Pastor's wife says that she last talked to her husband at 6:00am this morning. He told her that his mobile phone was low on battery, but that he was on his way to the bus park.
The pastor's phone is off and efforts to reach him are still futile. His daughter has pitched camp at Lira police station in the hope that someone could come up with vital clues about his father's whereabouts.
The pastor and his wife have been ministering in Uganda since February 1994. According to their website, the couple's ministry consists of Evangelism, Church planting, Bible College, and Family counseling and Youth ministries.
Police in Lira have issued an alert asking for vital clues that could lead to the whereabouts of the missing pastor.
