Mukula wins Soroti municipality NRM polls un

Election
Soroti municipality Member of Parliament captain Mike Mukula has been elected un-opposed to represent the National Resistance Movement in the Soroti municipality parliamentary elections.

Mukula becomes the second Member of Parliament from Teso Sub-region to go through unopposed.

Last week the minister of state for disaster preparedness, Christine Amongin Aporu was elected unopposed to stand as the National Resistance Movement candidate for the Kumi District Woman parliamentary seat next year.

In an interview yesterday morning, Mukula said that being unopposed was a sign that he still commands support from the people of Soroti

He was recently elected NRMO vice chairman for eastern region.
