Two schools in Kalerwe Closed

Two schools in Makerere III parish, Kalerwe have been closed by the ministry of education, for operating without a licence.
The two schools are St. Paul preparatory school in Dobbi zone, and Kalerwe parents' schools in Sebina zone.
The schools were closed in an ongoing inspection exercise, by the education ministry. A team of inspectors from the education ministry are inspecting the safety, and status of boarding facilities in Kampala and Wakiso districts.
John Mbura from the Directorate of Education Standards closed St. Paul preparatory school after finding the school structures bogged in water.
The proprietors were given a five day grace period with in which to regularize their status, with the Ministry of Education.
Mbura also closed the boarding section at City Junior School in Kalerwe because it was being operated without approval from the Ministry.
Wandegeya secondary school narrowly survived being closed for operating in a dilapidated residential house.
Huzaifah Mutazindwa, the Assistant Chief Inspector of Schools, ordered the school authorities to repair the residential house within five days.
