Transport Infrastructure Recieves Lion's Share of 2008/2009 Budget

Economic growth of 8.9%, solid fiscal performance and good management of the nation's debt has led to a large reduction in Uganda's dependence on foreign budgetary support.
The 2008/2009 fiscal year budget presented by Finance and Economic Planning Minister Ezra Suruma today indicates that only 30 percent of the budget will be funded through donor support. Five years ago, this support was as high as 55%.
