FDC Party Card Sale Divides Busia Party Leaders

News
Leaders of the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), party in Busia are locked up in a row over the sell of party cards.

Dr. Were Odimbe, the Busia FDC Chairperson, accuses the Kevina Taaka, the former Busia Woman Parliamentary aspirant of selling the party cards illegally.

Were claims that Taaka has been selling party cards from her private residence in Busia town and the proceeds have never been declared to the party. He also accuses Taaka of mobilizing and transporting FDC youth to attend a conference in Kampala without knowledge of the district executives.

Were is also bitter that Taaka has failed to submit to the party a report on a group of FDC party youth who were taken to meet President Yoweri Museveni at Statehouse, during the time of by-elections in Samia Bugwe North constituency.

But Taaka maintains she has a right to sell party cards without seeking consent of the district party executives.

She explains that any one is free to purchase cards from the party headquarters in Kampala and resale them to members without seeking permission of the district executives.
