An 18-year-old girl in Kampala has been arrested for stealing a four-year-old baby.
Sharon Nakanyike, a resident of Kitebi in Lubaga division is being detained at Old Kampala police station.
Nakanyike stole Mariam Nakayiza's and hid her at her grandmothers home in Buwambo, Mpigi district.
Kampala Regional Police Spokesperson, Simeo Nsubuga said police was yet to pick the baby from Buwambo.
Meanwhile, Old Kampala police is holding Dr. Andrew Kakwenzi for conning four people of 4.5million shillings.
Dr. Kakwenzi who at times calls himself Dr. Ssali from Deutal hospital International in Mbarara received money from four people promising to fix their children on government scholarship in Gulu and Mbarara University.
Simeo Nsubuga, Dr. Kakwenzi lied his victims that he was a member of the selection committee to the two universities where as not.
Nsubuga said that after conning people of their money, Dr. Kakwenzi switched off his phones and could not be traced until Wednesday when one of his victims arrested him.
Nsubuga said Dr. Kakwenzi would be charged with obtaining money by false pretence.
