Congolese National Arrested for Theft

Police in Kyenjojo district have arrested a Congolese National for theft.

Kahindo Mufunga, a resident of Butembo in the Democratic Republic of Congo was found in illegal possession of Wild Life Birds.

John Gahwa, the criminal investigations officer, says that According to Kyenjojo Kahindo was nabbed in Kyenjojo town with six wild guinea fowls aboard a lorry.

Gahwa says that Kahindo claimed he bought the birds from Malaba border post and was transporting them the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.

On interrogation, the suspect admitted to trading in guinea fowls. He said that this has been his main source of income.

Gahwa says the suspect will be taken to court to answer charges of illegal possession of Uganda wildlife Authority.
