8 Arrested For Poisoning

Eight people in Kumi district have been arrested for poisoning.

The suspects are accused of poisoning John Calvin Agoro a resident of Kalengo Village Tididiek parish in Ngora County in Kumi district.

It all started with a drinking spree at a bar in Kalengo village. The suspects led by Ogwang James, the chairman of the Ajono group stormed the bar and ordered Ajono for Agoro.

Hell however broke loose when Agoro lay dead shortly after he drank the Ajono Brew raising suspicion that the brew could have been laced with poison.

Selestino Ebulu, the criminal investigations officer says police have also arrested the bar owner identified as Florence and the Ajono group chairman for further investigations.

The suspects are being detained at Kumi police station.
