The authorities in Lira town have imposed a ban on Boda Boda Night services.
The ban is in response to reports that Boda boda cyclists are conniving with robbers to terrorize people at night.
Sgt.Alex Omwa, the Deputy Operation boss Lira central police station, says that effective last night, all Boda Boda cyclists in Lira Town will not be allowed to operate after 9:00pm.
Seargent Omwa has warned that Police will take stern action against any Boda Boda cyclist found operating after 9 o'clock.
Early this week police conducted an operation during which more than 10 motor cycles were intercepted.
Phillips Wandera, the Lira traffic Boss says that his department will intensify efforts to crack down on stolen motorcycles most of which are used in Robbery activities.
