Crime
Moses Tumusiime who was arrested yesterday in Kampala for impersonating Medical doctors has today been charged at Buganda Road court. Tumusiime is facing six different counts including five of forgery. Tumusiime appeared before grade one magistrate Dorothy Lwanga.
Some of the forgery cases that have been brought against Tumusiime include forging a certificate of medical and dental registration, an identification card of Mbarara university teaching hospital, transcript of Oxford University and presenting himself at Lyatonde hospital as a medical doctor.
Tumusiime who has been masquerading as a medical doctor in different hospitals in and around Kampala was arrested while trying to forge a stamp of the prestigious Oxford University, where he claims to have studied medicine. He denied all the charges brought against him. Lwanga rejected Tumusiime's bail application after he failed to present substantial sureties. Meanwhile a 21 year old woman was today charged of infanticide in Kampala city council hall.
Sarah Mukhaye committed the offence early this month in Kyebando Kisalosalo zone in Kawempe division of Kampala district. Court heard that in November Mukhaye willingly caused the death of her six month's old unborn baby. She reportedly took a drug over doze which led to a miscarriage.
Mukhaye who appeared before grade two magistrates Ndwangwa Richard of Kampala city council hall was dragged to police by her neighbours. Ndwangwa has been transferred to Buganda road court where Mukhaye is expected to appear on December 1.
