The president of the Uganda Kick Boxing Federation [UKBF] has defended his trip without players to the World Kick Boxing championship in Greece, this year.
Hassan Sekirime the president of UKBF traveled to Greece without players when the federation failed to raise money and find sponsors for the team.
He says that it is because of his participation in the World Kick Boxing general assembly that Uganda was selected to host this year's Africa Kick Boxing Championship due in September.
He says hosting the African championship will help the local kick boxers to acquire new skills and attract international funding for the sport.
Sekirime says that UKBF is embarking on a plan to find sponsors for the Africa Kick Boxing Championship due in September.
