Mugisha Muntu has been reappointed mobilizing secretary of the Forum for Democratic Change after his failed bid to unseat Kiiza Besigye as president of the opposition party.
Muntu stood against Besigye for the FDC presidency at the party's national delegates' conference last month. At the time the former army commander said he intended to unite the FDC and to consolidate its support in the grassroots. However Besigye had the overwhelming support of his party and bounced back as leader of the FDC.
Also reappointed to their positions were Beatrice Anywar as FDC secretary for environment and Wafula Oguttu, the information secretary.
Oguttu, a former Managing Director of The Daily Monitor newspaper, said he would continue to work with the media to provide an open critic about the State.

Kampala Woman MP, Nabilah Nagayi, was appointed secretary for ethics and culture.
Announcing the new appointments on Monday, the FDC president Kiiza Besigye, said all party positions were open to all members. He called on his supporters to aspire to fill positions of national importance.
