Members of Adjumani district executive committee want the Resident District Commissioner, Major Dudu Baker withdrawn from the district immediately.
The members of the district executive through Adjumani LC 5 chairperson have written to the presidency minister Beatrice Wabudea to demand for Dudu's withdrawal.
The RDC is being accused of intimidating civil and elected leaders and assaulting civilians. Dudu is also accused in the April 3rd of interference in the implementation of the National Agricultural Advisory Services, resettlement of internally displaced persons and work of the district service commission.
But Dudu claims that it is corrupt politicians and civil servants in the district who are demanding for his transfer.
He has advised member of the district Executive Committee to acquaint themselves with relevant evidence before making allegations against him.
For the past one year, Adjumani district executive committee has had a frosty relationship with the office of RDC.
Trouble started last year when unemployed youths took to streets to protest unfair recruitment practices in the district forcing the RDC to stop the exercise.
The youths accused the district LC 5 chairman of conniving with members of the district service commission to shortlist people who were already employed.
