Hoima Football Club has for the first time qualified for the National Super League.
The team emerged winners of the Western Super Mini League after defeating army side Umoja FC 1:0 in a match played this afternoon at Buhinga Municipal Stadium.
Hoima's goal was scored in the sixth minute by the captain Gilbert Okello.
Hoima qualified for the finals after beating Kasese's representatives Mbungu 2 goals to 1.
Bbosa Mayanja, the coach of Hoima FC says he is happy that his team has qualified to play in the Super League for the first time.
Mayanja says his main task is to prepare his team to face super league giants like Kampala City Council (KCC) and SC Villa.
In the other matches played, Fort hills FC from Kasusu emerged third after beating Mbungu 3 goals to 1.
Fort Hills will now play in the inter regional soccer tournament which will be hosted by Lira district.
