The Wetland Inspection Division has suffered a blow following the withdrawal of funding to the Inspectorate by the Belgian government.
Belgium has been the only donor to Uganda's Wetland Inspection Division.
It has in the past provided over ten billion shillings support to Wetland management and conservation.

Only 400 million shilling out of the budgeted 1.7 billion shillings is available for the operations of the division.
