He says that 30 other students, who are minors, have been cautioned and are to be released today.

Students of Kinoni High School, early this week staged a violent strike when school authorities tried confiscating mobile phones from students.

The students set their dormitory on fire, and also seriously injured four police constables who had rushed to the school to stop the strike.

Jackson Muhwezi, the DPC says that the four officers, who were rushed to hospital after being pelted with stones, are out of danger.

He says that two of the constables have been discharged, while the other two Godfrey Matsiko and Mugisha Godwin are to be transferred to Mbarara regional referral hospital for further examinations.

Nathan Nyaruguruka, the headmaster of the school, says that parents will meet district officials to chat the way forward.
