Two Hard Core Criminal Suspects Arrested in Tororo

The Rapid Response Unit has arrested two most wanted criminal suspects in Tororo District.

Abdu Ohideyo alias Mafabi and John Yebase alias Alex were picked up from their hideout in Malaba town on Tuesday afternoon.

The duo are believed to be part of the gang that has been terrorizing residents of Malaba town council.

Hassan Wasswa, the Officer in charge of the Rapid Response Unit Operations in Malaba says that, Ohideyo and Yebase recently hacked to death, Musa Okuni a money changer and robbed him of 5 million shillings.

The arrest of the two brings to three the number of hard core suspects arrested in Malaba following an operation launched by the Rapid Response Unit last week.

Richard Okodoi the Veterans chairperson for Tororo was arrested in Malaba in connection to a spate of robberies in several eastern Uganda towns.

According to Wasswa, Okodoi has confessed to being in possession of two illegal guns. Wasswa says that operation is ongoing until when they completely rid Malaba of thugs.
