Ochora, Mao Nominated For Gulu District Chair

Two Acholi local leaders, retired Colonel Walter Ochora and his political archrival Norbert Mao were yesterday nominated for the Gulu district seat.

Ochora who is the incumbent was nominated at the Electoral Commission offices at 11:am yesterday.

Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) Gulu district chairman Macmot Kitara nominated Mao at 3:32 yesterday afternoon. Kitara in a surprising action stood down for Mao.

Ochora said that he is going to show Mao that he is the best Politician in Gulu.

Former minister for Public Service Charles Alai was also nominated for the same post.

The nomination exercise ended yesterday at 5:00 pm.
