Masindi Man at Large for Impersonating Saracen Boss

Crime
Dickson Banturaki, a resident of Masindi town is on the run for impersonation and conning 30 people of their money.

Diana Nandawula Midwestern Police spokesperson says that, Dickson Banturaki is wanted by the Police for impersonating the resource manager of Saracen, a private security firm.

It is alleged that Banturaki and other suspects at large have been moving around Masindi district disguised as employees of Saracen claiming to have been cleared by the internal affairs ministry to recruit guards for deployment in Iraq.

Nandawula says that in the process of the recruitment the suspects have been soliciting money from their victims for transport and passport processing fees. She says that each of the victims paid up to 75,000 shillings.

Nandawula says that the Police have recorded statements from the 30 suspects and launched investigations into the crime.

According to Nandawula neither Saracen, nor Ministry of Internal affairs know about Banturaki and his recruitment drive.

Nandawula says that if arrested Banturaki will be charged with impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence.
