NDA Investigates Killer Malaria Drugs

One person has died and another is admitted in critical condition at Jinja hospital after taking malaria drugs they bought from clinics in town.
Boniface Ojede died yesterday, while Samuel Mukisa is still battling for his life, at Jinja hospital.
The duo got severe reactions and lost the entire outer skin of their bodies after taking the medication.
Zaidi Mwondha, the Southern Eastern Drug Inspector has launched investigations into the source of the drugs.
Mwondha, this morning collected some of the drugs that were remaining at Mukisa's house for examination.
Mukisa fell sick after taking the third dose of Acyclovir, Coartem, Ampiclox and Paracetamol.

Esther Mirembe the sister to Samuel Mukisa says that his brother bought the drugs from St. Paul's Health centre in Nakivumbi village Iganga district.
Mabel Namaganda the nursing officer, who is treating Samuel Mukisa in Jinja hospital, says that his condition is deteriorating.
