Kaberamaido NRM Official Investigated for Burning Besigye

The Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement party in Kaberamaido, Charles Enepu, is under investigation over allegations that he publicly burnt campaign posters of opposition presidential candidate, Dr. Kiiza Besigye.
The Kaberamaido District Police commander, Willy Olwenyi, Enepu is reported to have burned the posters at Bululu trading center in the presence of several people. He said members of Besigye's Forum for Democratic Change party reported the matter to the police and investigations into the incident are underway.

Enepu denied burning the posters. He claimed an unidentified man who was traveling with him in a taxi burned the posters and quickly fled the scene.
