A group of Basoga opposed to the election of Columbus Wambuzi as Kyabazinga have vowed to stage a mass demonstration on Wednesday.
The demonstration is intended to coincide with Wambuzi's resumption of official duties tomorrow morning.
According to the organisers, the mass demonstrations will be held in Jinja, Iganga, Kaliro and Namutumba distrcts.
Forouk Mujomba, says the Basoga have mobilized to block Wambuzi from taking over his seat as the Kyabazinga of Busooga.
Mujomba says police have taken sides by denying the Basoga the right to demonstrate. He however says this will not deter them from staging continuous demonstrations until Busoga gets a rightful Kyabazinga.
Jeniffer Kirenda, says the Basoga are not ready to embrace a government chosen Kyabazinga.

Moses Bakera, the Chairman Busoga Bulaire that organized Monday's demonstration, says tomorrow's demonstration in Jinja will spread out from the RDC's office, Kamuli road, and from Wairaka. The demostrators will then march towards the Kingdom headquarters in Bugembe. He however cautions the police against interfering in the cultural affairs of the Basoga.

Meanwhile, Michael Kifubangabo, the Busoga kingdom spokes person, says Columbus Waako Wambuzi is carrying out his duties well as Kyabazinga of Busoga, and nothing will stop him from getting into office tomorrow.
Maxwell Okidi, the Acting Jinja District Police Commander, says police have been put on full alert and people rioting without permission will not be tolerated in Jinja.
He has asked the Isabalangila and Acting Kyabazinga of Daudi Kawunhe Muluya to call for calm in Busoga as they await an important meeting this Thursday.
The meeting on Thursday at state house is expected to try and resolve the grievances in Busooga Kingdom.
