Independent presidential candidate, Abed Bwanika, has promised to transform Uganda into a world food basket if elected into office in February.
In an interview with Uganda Radio Network in Soroti town yesterday morning, Bwanika said his government would exploit international markets in order to sell locally abundant agricultural produce.
Bwanika noted that Saudi Arabia has a demand for up to 5.8 million goats annually. He said that if Ugandans took advantage of such an opportunity to export their livestock, poverty in Uganda would become history.
