Mastula Mulondo, Kiboga grade one magistrate has sentenced Semmujju Lende to one year in jail for impersonation.
Semujju appeared in court yesterday, where he has been facing charges of impersonation.
Court heard that Semujju a resident of Lubaga Division Kampala on September 03 impersonated a senior police officer.
It is alleged that Semujju ordered the sub county chairperson to call all members of his security committee because he had an urgent security message to deliver from the Police headquarters.
However, prosecution told court that after being arrested by Kiboga Police Semujju confessed that he was not a police office.
He reportedly told police investigators he had been hired as hit man to kill a local pastor.
Appearing before Masitula Mulondo the Kiboga grade one magistrate, Semujju pleaded guilty to the charges and prayed for leniency.
In her ruling, Mulondo sentenced Semujju to one year in jail. She said at no time should civilians impersonate security officials.
