Police is compiling a list of people suspected to have planned and sponsored the pro-Buganda riots.
Maj. Gen Kale Kayihura, the Inspector General of Police says that the list of suspects will be kept top secret until investigations are complete.
Kayihura told Uganda Radio Network says Police members of the public are volunteering information on the masterminds of the riots but declined to name the suspects.

Information obtained by Uganda Radio Network indicates that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has opened a file against people believed to have planned and sponsored the riots.
Police sources say the list of suspects includes Journalists, and politicians, some of whom have a military background.
Kayihura says that Police is still monitoring the situation to ensure a similar incident is not repeated. He says that Police has improved on its foot and motorized patrols.
Kayihura admits that Police was caught unawares during the recent city riots.

He however says that Police is now working with working with the military and Internal Security organization ensure riots do not happen again.
Kayihura says that army will still continue patrolling streets in the city until when the situation is completely.
