34 people have been admitted in Lacor Health Centre III in Amuru as a result of food poisoning.
Gilbert Olanya, a councilor at Amuru district says that most of the food poison victims are communal farmers, from Toro-Kal village.
He says that 9 of the 34 food victims are children below 8-years-of age.
He says that the victims started complaining of stomach pain, after eating let overs of meat from goats they slaughtered on Independence Day.

Olanya says that district has disputed a team of medical workers to investigate the ailment.
But Louis Oballi, the in charge of Kaladima Health Centre III, who conducted the tests on samples from the victims has ruled out poison.
Obili believes the victims ate cold left-over food which had already gone stale.
