Construction of a major police station in Moroto district has hit a snag over financial feuds between the contractors.
The construction works, earlier planned to be complete by August, hit the rock when Kadam Dealers, one of the contractors allegedly disappeared with 60 million shillings.
The money was meant for laying the foundation, which would pave way for the fitting of prefabricated concrete panels.
With no foundation, EVG Construction, the sub-contractor was compelled to divert money meant for setting up the walls, into building the foundation.
The new offices are being built adjacent to the Northeastern Police headquarters in Moroto
