Two traders Killed, six Others injured in Gulu Accident

News
A Ugandan and Sudanese trader have died and six others seriously injured in an accident in Gulu.
The accident occurred at 3:00am this morning, at Atia Corner in Palaro Sub County.
The deceased are Min Sarah a business woman from Laroo Division in Gulu municipality and Joseph Oryem alias Aridi from Owiny-Kibul in Sudan.
The injured including two Ugandan traders and four Sudanese have been admitted at St. Mary's Hospital Lacor.
Moses Okello, a Police officer attached to Palaro Police post who spoke on phone from the accident scene blames the accident on over speeding.
He says that the accident occurred when the driver of the ill fated Isuzu truck registration number SSEE 530 in which the traders were traveling in, failed to negotiate a sharp bend and overturned several times.
Okello says that the truck driver identified as Paul Acire was also injured severely and is among those admitted at Lacor hospital.
He says that Acire will be charged with traffic related offences when his condition improves.
