The diocese of Isiro-Niangara in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo has reported a series of attacks by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), which are said to have left several civilian casualties.
The Missionary International Service News Agency spoke to the local bishop, Monsignor Julien Andavo Mbia, who said dozens of people were killed by the LRA in the village of Manbaga ya talo. Monsignor Mbia said he received news of the attack from the area parish priest and details are still vague.
