Four Rwandese men have been sentenced to 12 months in jail.
The suspects appeared yesterday before David Mwine, Kamwenge grade II margistrate, who found them guilty and sentenced them to jail.
The suspects are Jean Paul Nyandwi, John Bosco Ndora Babugyira, Everest Kanyabugande and Faustino Sebyatsi from Gatebe County in Rwanda.
Prosecution told court that the four Rwandans were arrested on Jan 07, when they entered Uganda, without any travel documents.
The suspects pleaded guilty to the crime and prayed for mercy, saying that they had crossed into Uganda to burry their relative in Kamwenge and return to their country.
In his ruling, Mwine sentenced the Rwandans to 12 months in jail or a fine of 30,000 shillings each. The Rwandans failed to raise the money and were sent to Kamwenge prison.
