Prices for Coca cola Products Go Up in Kampala

The prices of Coca cola products in Kampala have gone up.

Traders attributed the increase to the decline in supplies since October.

The traders said when they complained to Century Bottling Company, the manufacturers of Coca cola products, they were told the increase is because of the breakdown in the machinery at the Coca cola Namanve plant.

A crate of soda has increased to 10,000 shillings from 9,400 shillings. In some place like Market Street, Nasser Road, Shoprite and Garden City, a crate goes for 11,000 shillings.

A half litre bottle goes for 900 shillings from 800 while the price of a 1-litre bottle has increased to 1,500 shillings from 1,200 in most places in and around the city.
