A 17-year old boy in Rakai is accused of fatally stabbing his teenage brother to death.
David Katerega attacked and killed his brother Monny Lubyayi, on Wednesday morning.
The two boys first got involved in a quarrel, which sparked, off anger and resentment between them. Writhing with anger, Katerega grabbed a cutlass, and slit his brother's jaw. The boy died of excessive bleeding.
Residents of Bukobogo village in Kirumba Sub County were woken up to a rude shock by alarms made by the boys' grandmother, Regina Nakabugo.
Nakabugo, told mourners that her grand sons have always been quarrelsome and had persistently defied her caution against but that she least expected a murder in her compound. She described her grandson's death as unfortunate.
The boy's burial was plunged into drama when police at Nakatoogo police post demanded for 130,000 shillings to carry out post mortem.
The officers blocked the burial, forcing the old woman to look for someone to buy her piece of land so she could raise the money for postmortem.
On learning about the developments, a group of residents confronted the police officers and demanded to know what law they were using to solicit the 130,000 shillings for post mortem.
The residents assured stopped the old woman from selling her land and assured the police officers that the money was illegal and they would not pay it.
Shocked by the confrontation, the police officers abandoned the home, paving way for the boy's burial.
